Fresh from leading his country to victory in the maiden Nations League tournament, Cristiano Ronaldo is looking forward to more titles with his country.
According to the Portuguese captain, he aims to continue to look forward with Portugal despite being 34 years old now, especially with the Euro 2020 on the horizon.
“The national team will continue, with or without Cristiano. I think the team has great potential. There are young players, players who over the years will become more mature and better.
“I want to be part of this project because I feel good and I feel able to help the national team,” the Juventus superstar who ended up as the leading scorer at the Nations League Finals, said.
Speaking further to UEFA.com, Ronaldo, who boasts of 88 goals in 158 appearances for Portugal, added: “I think the national team has the potential to continue to evolve and win more trophies.”
Being the highest scoring European in international football history coupled with how he takes care of himself, not many will bet against the former Real Madrid frontman ahead of Euro 2020.
