Sanwo-Olu Unveils Innovative Land Registration Portal In Lagos

Eko Hot Blog reports Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has introduced the state’s electronic Geographic Information System – a cutting-edge land administration portal.

The launch marks the commencement of electronic land registration in Lagos State, reflecting the administration’s commitment to enhancing business operations in the state.

Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized that the newly unveiled portal would streamline and digitize the land registration process, eliminating the need for manual registration.

With this development, residents can register their lands from the comfort of their homes, pay fees online, obtain title documents, and apply for Certificates of Occupancy, among other registrations.

The governor highlighted that the portal’s implementation would significantly reduce transaction time and costs, removing the inefficiencies associated with manual processes.

He stated, “Therefore, it is critical to highlight that innovative automated processes have transitioned land transactions into a digital format, integrating them into our registry. As a result, transactions significantly reduce and save costs, meaning that the era of hiding files or missing files is gone. Everything will be digitally available.”

Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized that the portal would foster collaboration among government agencies, enhancing efficiency and transparency in land transactions.

The secure shopping cart experience, self-serve options, online record and data search, and the ability to analyze site traffic are some of the features highlighted by the governor. Additionally, the portal allows users to track application progress, provide comments, and receive immediate feedback.

This initiative is expected to revolutionize the land administration process in Lagos State, providing residents with a convenient and efficient means of accessing land-related services.
