EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Human rights activist Aisha Yesufu has reacted to the controversies trailing the presence of ‘fake bishops’ at the unveiling of the All Progressives Congress (APC) vice presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima.

In a post shared on Twitter, Aisha said Tinubu’s campaign team gave all Nigerians an assignment on Wednesday, by bringing fake bishops to the event.

She further alleged that the APC presidential candidate camp used fake Bishops to divert the conversation from the Muslim-Muslim ticket.

She wrote: “Dear Nigerians on social media So Tinubu campaign team gave you all an assignment yesterday by bringing “fake” bishops and directing your conversation away from the religious exclusion the Muslim-Muslim ticket is. What are you going to give them to talk about today?”

This online media platform earlier reported that Tinubu Campaign Organisation (TCO) has denied claims that it hired fake bishops to attend the unveiling of Kashim Shettima.

In a statement on Thursday by the Director of Media and Communication of TCO, Bayo Onanuga, disclosed that the clerics at the event are not big names in the Christian faith, saying that the bishops were not hired or fake bishops.

He said the bishops are church leaders who genuinely believe that Nigerians must eschew politics of hatred and religious bigotry and rather embrace politics of peace and nation-building.
