Popular Yoruba rights activist, Sunday Adeyemo well known as Sunday Igboho, has warned that the Yoruba people would repel any attack by the Nigerian Army on the South-East region of the country, EKO HOT BLOG has gathered.
Igboho gave the warning in a statement by his media aide, Olayomi Koiki, on Monday.
The rights activist stated that an attack on the South-East is an attack on the Yoruba people, urging the Federal Government to put a stop to the raids in the South-East region.
Igboho further noted that if there are further attacks on people of the South-East, Yoruba Nation Now agitators will be mobilised and support the South-East region.

“We would like to inform the Federal Government Of Nigeria that any attack on the South-East is an attack on the Yorubas.
“Biafra people have been targeted by the Nigeria Army and if there are any further attacks on them, we would have no other option but to support our brothers and sisters in Biafraland,” the statement read.

Recall that the Nigerian Army and other security agencies have earlier launched a manhunt for members of the Eastern Security Network (ESN), the security arm of the IPOB.
In the process of flushing out the IPOB and ESN members, there have been reports of killing of civilians in the South-East, due to air bombardments and ground raids by the military personnel.
