OYO 2020: Fire Outbreak Halts Oyo Traditional Conference (Video)

Organisers of the annual conference of traditional Rulers in Yoruba land tagged #OYO2020, Heritage Forum, has postponed the scheduled event following a fire outbreak in the state.

The Aladeshoyin of Noforija, Oba Babatunde Ogunlaja, announced on behalf of other traditional rulers at a courtesy call to the Alaafin of Oyo to commiserate with him on the incident.

“Due to the devastating incident that occurred earlier in the week in Oyo town, we have decided at this stage to at least postpone the 2nd Annual Conference of traditional Rulers in Yoruba land till further notice,” the monarch said.

It would be recalled that the Akesan market, a historical Oyo trade Centre, was razed by fire earlier in the week leaving millions of properties burnt.
