Palace has announced date for burial of Olubadan.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Popoyemoja Palace has announced that the remains of the late Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji, will be buried today.

The palace made this known in a press statement by its Director of Media and Publicity, Adeola Oloko, titled, “Olubadan passes on, to be buried today”.

Body of late Olubadan has arrived palace.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the body of the late Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji, has been taken to Popoyemoja Palace, Ibadan, Oyo State, on Sunday.

His corpse was welcomed by a large crowd among whom were sympathisers who broke down in tears as the late monarch’s remains were offloaded from an ambulance.

The departed monarch’s body was wrapped in light blue cloth when he was taken inside his palace by some aides.

It had been reported that the Olubadan of Ibadan land passed away on Sunday.

He was 93 years old.

His death was confirmed by palace sources.
