2021 AFCON Qualifier: Watch As Super Eagles Defeat Lesotho In A Six-Goal Thriller (Video)

The Super Eagles maintained their perfect run in the 2021 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier after coming behind to thrash Lesotho 4-2 at her backyard on Sunday evening.

In-form Lille of France striker, Victor Osimhen was on top form for the Eagles as he was involved in all the four goals scored by the team.

Nigeria once again conceded an early goal to trail the home team but was reacted with a perfect response to earn the needed three-point away from.

Everton star, Alex Iwobi equalised for the Eagles with a precise strike inside the 18-yard box with a well-connected pass from Osimhen.

The former U-17 World winner, Osimhen linked up perfectly with Villareal youngster, Samuel Chukwueze to give Nigeria the lead before half-time.

At the second period, Osimhen was rewarded for his efforts as he netted a brace to give the Eagles a comfortable win over the South African team.

Awazien’s own goal gave the home team a consolatory goal at the latter hour of the game to make the score for 4-2.

Nigeria now sit at the top of the group with six points from two matches followed by their neighbour Benin Republic who defeated Seria Leone 1-0.
