Two petrol laden tanker tankers, on Saturday morning, exploded on Otedola Bridge, in Lagos.
The incident which was said to have happened at about 3 am, destroyed properties worth millions of naira.
According to an eyewitness, operatives from the fire service were present at the scene to put out the fire which was spreading out wide.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) said it has responded to distress calls concerning the explosion.
“The Agency has responded to the distress calls concerning a tanker on fire at Berger along the Lagos Ibadan Expressway. Updates to follow,” it tweeted.
The cause of the explosion is still unknown at the time of filing this report
