The Chairman, Jema’a Local Government area Council, Hon Peter Danjuma Averik has assured of the effectiveness and safety of the Astrazeneca COVID-19 Vaccine.
Mr. Averik stated this on Monday shortly After the vaccine was administered on him at the local government council’s secretariat in Kafanchan Kaduna State- Nigeria
The Jema’a Local government chairman assured people of the area that government was concern about their health and general wellbeing and would not mislead them to doing anything that will put their lives in danger.
He therefore advised the people to present themselves for vaccination and ignore the rumour making the rounds about the covid-19 Vaccine.
According to Mr. Peter Danjuma Averik, the vaccine had gone through series of clinical investigations and is certified safe for use by reputable health institutions and bodies such as the World Health Organization amongst others.
Responding, the Director Primary Health Care, PHCJema’a Local Government, Mrs Rahab David said the covid-19 vaccination exercise in the area had been successful despite the initial doubt and rejection which she described as common phenomenon with people especially at every beginning.
