Tindell’s Strike Sinks Arsenal In WCL Qualifier Against BK Hacken

Arsenal suffered a frustrating defeat against BK Hacken in the first leg of their Women’s Champions League second-round qualifier.

The decisive moment came in the 77th minute when Anna Anvegard’s lofted pass found Tabitha Tindell, who calmly slotted the ball past Arsenal goalkeeper Manuela Zinsberger.

Earlier, Clarissa Larisey had a similar chance but, after rounding Zinsberger, could only hit the side netting.

Despite dominating possession with 67.9%, Arsenal struggled to convert key opportunities. Alessia Russo missed multiple chances, including a looping header easily saved by Hacken goalkeeper Jennifer Falk, and a low shot fired wide.

Late substitute Frida Maanum was denied twice in the closing stages. Her long-range shot was brilliantly turned around the post by Falk, and her header struck the crossbar.
