Troops Rescue 2 NGO Workers, 3 Others From Kidnappers’ Den

  • Troops have rescued two abducted NGO workers and three others from the kidnappers’ den.

  • According to reports, they were released on Wednesday.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Nigerian Army has successfully rescued two out of three humanitarian workers from Family Health International (FHI360), who were kidnapped by fighters belonging to the Islamic State of the West African Province (ISWAP).

Security and local sources disclosed this to journalists on Thursday.

Recalls that three humanitarian workers and two security guards were abducted at the guest house of the NGO in Fotoko village near Gamborou Ngala town, Borno State.

One of the sources revealed that the two NGO workers were released on Wednesday, but one of the aid workers and the two security guards were still in captivity.
