Nigerian footballer, Obafemi Martins, popularly known as ‘Obagoal’ is currently receiving a huge round of applause on social media after the former Super Eagles striker came to the aid of a physically challenged man in Lagos.
Eko Hot Blog gathered, via a viral video circulating on Twitter, where Obagoal is seen acknowledging an earlier video made by the physically challenged man. He further pledged to support the man with a wheelchair and the sum of N200, 000.

A second segment of the same video shows unconfined joy and excitement by the lucky recipient of the gesture, who was filmed live receiving the sum of N200, 000 cash from Obafemi’s representative. The crippled man consequently burst into a fit of prayers in his native Yoruba for his benefactor.
Reacting, Nigerians have taken to social media to praise the gesture by their one time goal machine, who has moved swiftly to ameliorate the plight of the less privileged in the society.
