During a press conference at the National People’s Congress in Beijing, Wang emphasized the importance of mutual respect and acknowledgment of differences for continued exchanges between the two nations.
“The erroneous perception of China by the U.S. persists, and its promises remain unfulfilled,” Wang stated, highlighting the continuous renewal of methods to suppress China and expand unilateral sanctions.
Despite Biden’s assurances that the U.S. seeks to avoid a new Cold War and respects China’s system while refraining from backing Taiwan’s independence, tensions linger between the two global powers.
Wang urged the U.S. to adopt an objective and rational perspective on China’s development and engage in constructive interactions.
Amidst ongoing geopolitical confrontations, including trade disputes with Europe and territorial disputes with neighboring countries, Wang expressed China’s willingness to strengthen cooperation with Russia.
