Despite Biden’s assurances that the U.S. seeks to avoid a new Cold War and respects China’s system while refraining from backing Taiwan’s independence, tensions linger between the two global powers.

Wang urged the U.S. to adopt an objective and rational perspective on China’s development and engage in constructive interactions.
