Job Title: Electrician / Technician

Job Description

  • Ensures installs conduit and pipes to the warehouse electrical wires and cables.
  • Ensures piping complies with Electrical codes installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them.
  • Ensures that all the electric motors are in good-working conditions and no loose connections.
  • Troubleshoot faults and carry out the necessary repairs/adjustments accordingly without much downtime.
  • Comply with all Health, Safety and Environment regulations.
  • Communicate effectively and work harmoniously with other members of the staff team.
  • In the case of major electrical faults and problems, report to the Electrical Officer/ Electrical Supervisor.
  • Ensures proper connections and alignment of components.
  • Ensures no naked and wet cables are connected to prevent shock and short circuit.
  • Ensure all machine parts and bodies are properly earthed.

Requirements

  • A minimum of ND in Electrical Engineering / Trade Test
  • Minimum of 0 – 2 years experience in similar field
  • Ability to read and understand control drawing.
  • Knowledge of Domestic and industrial wiring
  • Cabling and commissioning
  • Installation of panel cable tray
  • Good knowledge of electrical symbols and circuit diagrams.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Teamwork.
  • Able to follow instructions and production schedules.
