The artist, known for his distinctive neck tattoo, emphasized the prevailing stigma surrounding body art in Nigeria, lamenting the limited avenues for employment or business ventures available to those with tattoos.
“Asake, featured prominently in the latest issue of GQ magazine, disclosed, ‘In Nigeria, if you have a tattoo on your neck, you can’t work anywhere.
 I can’t work for any company. I can’t sell anything,'” underscoring the significant barriers faced by tattooed individuals in the country’s professional landscape.
Addressing misconceptions about his journey to stardom, Asake dispelled notions of overnight success, highlighting years of dedication and hard work preceding his rise in the music industry.
