Femi Gbajabiamila Resigns From House Of Reps

EkoHotBlog reports that former Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila has officially resigned from his position in the House of Representatives in order to assume the role of Chief of Staff to the President.

Gbajabiamila’s resignation was tendered during a session on the floor of the house, the speaker Tajudeen Abbas read aloud the letter.

As previously reported, it was anticipated that Gbajabiamila would resign to fully dedicate himself to the responsibilities awaiting him in the new government.

Concerns had arisen regarding how he would effectively handle both roles, considering that the former Speaker had just been inaugurated alongside his fellow lawmakers on Tuesday and had also participated in voting for the House leadership.
