In his address, Obasanjo, who serves as the President of the IATF Advisory Council, highlighted the fair’s crucial role in promoting economic integration across the continent.
He noted that the three previous IATF events collectively generated over $120 billion in trade and investment deals, proving its growing influence.

The IATF serves as a key platform for investors, business leaders, and heads of state to forge partnerships and bring the vision of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) to life.
Obasanjo emphasized that bringing the fair to Lagos will further strengthen its impact on Africa’s economic transformation. He also praised the President of Algeria, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, for his country’s collaborative efforts in ensuring a successful event.
The IATF continues to evolve as Africa’s most significant trade platform, connecting the continent with the global African diaspora.
