The Ikorodu Division Peace Initiative Limited (IDPIL) held its Scholarship and Bursary Award Ceremony, bringing renewed hope to students across the division as prominent leaders and traditional rulers celebrated the initiative’s impact on education.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola, Chairman of the IDPIL Scholarship and Bursary Award Committee, lauded the achievements of the beneficiaries, stressing the transformative power of education.

According to her, “The IDPIL Scholarship and Bursary Award has been instrumental in shaping the future of our youth, enabling them to focus on their studies without the burden of financial constraints.”
She further urged the recipients to remain focused and diligent, reminding them that education is a tool for breaking barriers and creating opportunities.
Also speaking, the Chairman of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun HOA, congratulated the beneficiaries and charged them to make good use of the support provided.
He said, “This fund is not just for today; it is an investment in your tomorrow. Stay focused, shun cultism, and avoid distractions that lead to destruction.”


In the same vein, the Chairman of Imota LCDA extended his goodwill to the students and assured the IDPIL of the council’s continuous support in empowering young people through education.
Royal fathers, His Royal Majesty Oba Mudashiru Ajibade Bakare Agoro, Ranodu of Imota, and His Royal Majesty Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, also delivered messages of appreciation.
They commended Odofin Adewunmi Ogunsanya SAN and other IDPIL members for sustaining a vision that has consistently lightened the educational burdens of families across Ikorodu Division.
The highlight of the event was the official presentation of the Bursary 1 Award to deserving students.
These awards, designed to ease financial challenges, have served as a beacon of hope for underprivileged yet brilliant students within the division.
