Leading financial institution, Fidelity Bank Plc, has announced that Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, will lead the state’s delegation to the 2025 Fidelity Nigeria International Trade & Creative Connect (FNITCC) scheduled for Atlanta, USA.

Eko Hot Blog reports that in a statement released over the weekend, Fidelity Bank revealed that Governor Sanwo-Olu will leverage the FNITCC platform to spotlight Lagos as Africa’s largest economy and explore opportunities for sister-city partnerships with Atlanta and Georgia State.

“Lagos is a city of enterprise, creativity, and boundless opportunity. At FNITCC Atlanta, we are not only showcasing Lagos as Africa’s largest economy, but also building bridges of trade, investment, and cultural exchange with our partners in Atlanta and across the United States,” Sanwo-Olu stated.

Organized in partnership with AFRICON, the leading global forum for African innovators and change leadersthe third edition of FNITCC will run from September 18 to 20, 2025.

The event is expected to attract over 3,000 participants, including investors, exporters, trade agencies, and diaspora professionals, with projected trade and investment deals exceeding $500 million.

Speaking on Lagos’ participation, Fidelity Bank’s Managing Director/CEO, Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, said the conference presents a strategic opportunity for Nigerian products to gain stronger access to international markets, especially in the United States.

Other highlights include exhibitions showcasing African goods and services across agriculture, fashion, creative industries, and professional services, as well as matchmaking sessions connecting US investors with African businesses.
