The Imole Wi-Fi is currently active in major areas including Olu Obasanjo Park, Fakunle Unity School, and the State Secretariat, with more locations expected soon. The service offers residents especially students, entrepreneurs, and job seekers reliable internet access without cost.
Governor Ademola Adeleke described the move as a way to “open up new possibilities” for young people and working-class citizens. He emphasized that bridging the digital divide is central to his administration’s agenda of inclusiveness growth.

Education is expected to benefit significantly, as students can now tap into online learning platforms, research materials, and digital classrooms. For small businesses and informal traders, the connectivity allows easier access to mobile banking, digital marketplaces, and social media promotions.
The Imole Wi-Fi also positions Osun to attract tech-savvy youths and remote workers looking for a more connected environment to work and live.
With this project, the state is not only improving infrastructure but also investing in the future of its people making sure no one is left behind in the digital age.
As more areas get connected, residents can expect faster communication, broader access to opportunities, and a stronger sense of inclusion in today’s fast-moving digital world.
