COVID-19 In Nigeria: Sokoto Discharges All Coronavirus Patients

The Sokoto State government has discharged all the 101 isolated COVID-19 patients in the state.

Ekohotblog gathered that the State Commissioner for Health, Ali Inname, disclosed this to newsmen on Saturday in Sokoto.

Ali Inname, who doubles as the chairman of the state’s task force committee on COVID-19, said his committee received 839 alerts from across the state and all of them were investigated.

Inname said that since the first index case in the state on April 19, 731 samples had been collected while 655 contacts completed the 14 days of follow-up.

The patients came from eight local government areas with men constituting 85 per cent of the number of patients.

He also said that 14 coronavirus related deaths have, however, been recorded in the state.
