Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) has extended its sensitisation campaign to the Ikoyi-Obalende LCDA CDC members during their monthly meeting.

Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi, Executive Secretary of DSVA, emphasized the agency’s commitment to curbing all forms of abuse through awareness and sensitisation efforts.

Speaking through Community Engagement Officer Ms. Opemipo Ogunse, Vivour-Adeniyi highlighted the various free support services available from the State Government, including medical, legal, empowerment, psycho-social support, and law enforcement services.

Over 40 participants were educated about these services, as well as those offered by partner agencies.

Ms. Sheriki J.O, Head of Department Agric, Ikoyi-Obalende LCDA, provided additional insights into SGBV, urging participants to be proactive reporters and share the information within their communities.

CDC Chairman Mr. George Oluyemisi Shodipe expressed gratitude to DSVA for the outreach and affirmed their community’s willingness to cooperate with the State government in ending the menace.

The toll-free hotline 0800-333-333 was provided, and SGBV informational materials were distributed to all participants.
This sensitisation campaign marks a significant step towards creating a safer and more supportive environment for all Lagosians.

By working together, we can eradicate SGBV and build a more inclusive society.
