Lagos State Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment has launched a specialized ICT training program for 200 youths.

This initiative, in partnership with Mac Tay Consulting Ltd, aims to equip participants with high-tech proficiencies and competitive skills for the 21st-century market.
According to Commissioner Akinyemi Bankole Ajigbotafe, the training program is a significant step towards empowering youths and fostering a vibrant economy in the state.

“We are committed to building a digitally inclusive and economically empowered society, in line with the T.H.E.M.E.S Plus agenda of the Sanwo-Olu administration,” he said.
The ICT training will cover essential areas like Data Science and Full Stack Web Development, creating job opportunities for youths and enhancing their status in life.

The program will run for four months, from October 2024 to January 2025, with sessions held three times a week.

Upon completion, participants will receive globally recognized certifications, including industry credentials like Information Technology Specialist – Data Analyst and Adobe Certified Professional – Web Authoring using Adobe Dreamweaver.
These certifications will provide participants with competitive qualifications, making them attractive to employers and enabling them to pursue entrepreneurial opportunities.

This initiative is a testament to the Lagos State Government’s commitment to youth empowerment and economic growth.
