The gesture was warmly received by residents, who expressed relief that their long-standing challenge would soon be resolved.

In his address, the lawmaker outlined several completed and ongoing projects facilitated through his office since the beginning of his second term.

He noted that road infrastructure had been a major focus, citing the construction of Thomos Street in Agbowa, Mosafejo Road in Ikosi-Ejinrin, Sikiru Musa/Nazareth College Road in Ibonwon, and Hon. Lanre Odubote Street in Odoshiwola, Eredo.

He further highlighted the first phase of road maintenance across wards in both Eredo and Ikosi-Ejinrin, which included Odo Egiri, Oluayan Street, Feko Street, Ogun Street, Olayemi Street, Lateef Road, Okepopo Road, Modu Road, Oshokeji to Rala Street, Ajebo/Onabo Road, Sagamu Road, and Chalet Road.

He assured that while some of these projects had already been completed, others would soon be delivered.

Beyond roads, Hon. Ogunkelu listed other achievements such as the grading of roads across Eredo LCDA, provision of transformers to Owu community in Ikosi-Ejinrin, as well as Ora and Odoshiwola communities in Eredo.

He also pointed to the construction of boreholes in Odo Ayandelu, Ejinrin, and Temu, the construction of a modern public toilet at Pobo Market in Eredo, and the installation of over 300 solar-powered streetlights across Epe Constituency II.

On education and youth empowerment, he explained that his office had provided over 2,000 free JAMB forms and lessons from 2023 till date, while also facilitating employment opportunities for young people.

He further highlighted welfare interventions, including the distribution of food and cash palliatives to more than 3,000 residents in both Eredo and Ikosi-Ejinrin, as well as the provision of food items to 200 widows in Eredo.
