Job Title: Marketing Executive
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Department: Marketing

Report to: Managing Director
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will (but not limited to):
- Promote our unique furniture products to corporate bodies and build long-term relationships with these client organizations.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities and consumer preference and position our product accordingly.
- Develop strategic marketing plans to expand the customer base and contribute to the development of the company’s brand.
- Implement customer relationship management policies to ensure customer retention/loyalty.
- Drive and monitor the implementation of the marketing strategies and take necessary action to correct deviations.
- Source and manage relationships with key distributors and evaluate the effectiveness of services.
- Coordinate, evaluate and review marketing campaigns, advertisements, to make ensure the standard procedures are followed and monitor progress of campaigns using various metrices.
- Maintain good relationships with media vendors and publishers to ensure collaboration in promotional activities.
- Ensure all marketing activities adhere to company’s ethics and code of business conduct.
- Establish close business relationships with existing and prospective clients’ and act as a contract negotiator in transactions.
- Identify marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements, defining market share, competitor’s share, and competitor’s strengths and weaknesses, forecasting projected business outcomes, and establishing targeted market share.
- Track marketing performance and return on investment and prepare weekly or monthly reports for the management.
- Develop sales targets and key performance indicators for marketing officers.
- Carry out other tasks that are related to the job function as assigned.
Education and Work Experience
- M.Sc. / MBA Marketing, Business Management or related fields.
- B.Sc. in Marketing, Business Management or related fields.
- Minimum of 7 years’ marketing experience.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in furniture industry.
Requirements:
- Good understanding of market research techniques, data analysis and statistical methods.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple assignments concurrently.
- Proven ability to retain existing clients while maintaining influx of new ones.
- Proven experience in developing marketing strategies, policies and enforcing compliance.
- Ability to motivate and lead people and hold employees accountable.
- Strong working knowledge of strategic planning principles and marketing best practices.
- Ability to effectively manage events, press relationships, editorial requests, presentations, promotional materials and online activities.
- High level of numerical skills to be able to create keynote proposals and insertion orders independently.
- Ability to prepare weekly and monthly work reports.
- Displays integrity – transparency in dealings with management, clients’ and other individuals that you may come in contact with.
- Ability to oversee and manage the marketing budgets.
- Effective leadership and communication skills.
- Effective persuasive and negotiation skills.
