Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum and Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, stated this during the inauguration of the National Convention Planning Committee on Tuesday.
He stressed that the governors were ready to confront anyone threatening the unity and progress of the party.
Wike’s camp had on Monday in Abuja issued six conditions for the PDP leadership to meet before the scheduled National Elective Convention can hold peacefully in Ibadan, Oyo State, on November 15 and 16.
In a strong-worded response, Governor Mohammed made it clear that the party would not be held hostage or derailed by internal wranglings.

“We’re not afraid of anybody. We’re not pushovers,” he said. “We have what it takes to steer this party past arrogance, recklessness, and the games people are playing.”
He added that the party leadership would no longer allow itself to be treated with disdain or dragged into what he described as a political ambush.
“We won’t sit and watch anyone lead us to political slaughter,” Mohammed said. “Our responsibility as governors is to protect this party and make sure it survives the storm.”
He further emphasized the need for discipline within the PDP ranks, declaring: “We will not allow ourselves to be taken for granted anymore. This must stop. We’ve had enough.”
Despite the growing tension, the PDP governors reaffirmed that the national convention would go ahead as scheduled, dismissing Wike’s conditions as distractions.
