Big Brother Naija Season 10’s live transmission was abruptly suspended on Friday evening after a sudden power outage disrupted the live feed.
Eko Hot Blog reports that despite the blackout, MultiChoice Nigeria and show organizers swiftly reassured the public that the housemates were “safe and sound,” and that technical crews were already working to restore both power and transmission within a short time.

In formal statements, the organizers said: “We’re currently experiencing a temporary break in Big Brother Naija transmission due to a power issue. Rest assured, the housemates are safe and sound. Our technical team is working swiftly to restore power and normal service. Thank you for your patience. Grab a snack, stretch your legs. We’ll be back serving premium entertainment shortly.”

Viewers, however, expressed alarm and disappointment across social media and fan forums. Many reported seeing reruns or promotional snippets in place of live content. One report noted that in some cases the show had been off air for more than six hours by the time transmission resumed.
This marks another dramatic twist in the highly anticipated 10th edition of BBNaija, which premiered on July 26, 2025, with host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu welcoming 29 housemates competing for a ₦150 million grand prize.
The interruption underscores the vulnerability of live broadcast operations, particularly in Nigeria, where power reliability remains inconsistent. Organisers’ quick assurance likely helped calm nerves, but the lengthy blackout still prompted frustration and fueled speculation among viewers about infrastructure limitations.
For now, fans remain on standby, waiting for the action to return—and hoping Biggie will bring back more drama without any more unexpected pauses.
