Paris Jackson Slams ‘Sugar-Coated’ Michael Jackson Biopic

  • Paris Jackson distances herself from upcoming film on her father
  • Says she had “zero per cent involvement” despite actor’s claim
  • Criticises Hollywood biopics for spreading “full-blown lies”

Paris Jackson has rejected suggestions that she supported the forthcoming biopic about her father, Michael Jackson, describing the film as “sugar-coated” and insisting she had no involvement.

Eko Hot Blog reports that the 27-year-old singer and actor said she had been invited to read an early draft of the script but pulled out after her feedback was ignored. She stressed on Instagram that she had “zero per cent involvement” in the project, countering claims made by actor Colman Domingo at the Venice Film Festival that she and her brother had been helpful to the filmmakers.

EDITOR’S PICK

Paris wrote: “Don’t be telling people I was ‘helpful.’ Not my monkeys, not my circus. God bless and God speed.” She added that the film, titled Michael and due for release in April 2026, panders to a section of her father’s fandom that “still lives in the fantasy.”

The film, starring Michael Jackson’s nephew Jaafar Jackson and produced in conjunction with the Jackson estate, has already drawn global attention. Paris, however, dismissed the project as another example of Hollywood glossing over uncomfortable truths, saying many biopics present “fantasyland versions of reality” and amount to “full-blown lies.”

She concluded by urging fans and filmmakers alike to leave her out of the narrative, reiterating her refusal to be associated with a project she believes does not reflect the truth about her father’s life.
