Police in Oyo State have discovered a well contaminated with a liquid suspected to be diesel fuel (AGO) in the Omikunle area of Yemetu, Ibadan.
Eko Hot Blog reports that acting on a tip received on September 6, officers responded to the scene and found residents attempting to collect the flammable liquid. Authorities quickly secured the area to prevent potential safety hazards.

The Oyo State Ministry of Environment has taken charge of the situation and is now responsible for the safe removal and disposal of the substance. Officials from the Ministry are on-site to assess the extent of the contamination and ensure a thorough cleanup.

The police have called for calm as they continue their investigation into how the diesel got into the well. They also urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
