- Life is sustained by mercy, not brilliance,
- Lawyers urged to stay humble and honest,
- Success means little without divine grace,
Pastor E.A. Adeboye has told legal professionals that being alive today is not due to intelligence, but purely by the mercy of God.
While addressing a gathering of legal practitioners, as reported by Eko Hot Blog, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, emphasized that human brilliance is not enough to guarantee life or success.

According to him, many smarter and more qualified individuals are no longer alive not because they lacked skill, but because mercy was withdrawn.
He pointed out that survival isn’t proof of intelligence, strength, or qualifications. Instead, it’s a reminder of God’s grace at work. “You are not better than those who have passed on,” he said. “You are simply a product of God’s mercy.”

Pastor Adeboye called on legal professionals to remain grounded, regardless of their achievements. He urged them to carry out their duties with humility, integrity, and a clear understanding that divine help is what truly sustains. Legal brilliance, he noted, should never overshadow the place of grace.
Adeboye also warned against relying solely on human wisdom. He stated that no matter how educated or experienced a person is, it is God who decides who stays and who goes. He encouraged lawyers to lead lives that honor both their profession and their faith.
His message, though directed at the legal field, holds relevance for all. In a world where accomplishments are often worshipped, he reminded his audience that without God, success is empty. Adeboye’s words are a call to gratitude and spiritual awareness in both professional and personal life.
